According to the publication, the parties are trying to achieve de-escalation before the meeting of the ambassadors of Israel and Lebanon in Washington, which is to take place on Tuesday with the mediation of the US State Department. Lebanon proposed returning to the November 2024 ceasefire agreements and limiting strikes only to immediate threats from Hezbollah.

Israel has agreed to facilitate a peace agreement with Lebanon, but has not agreed to discuss a ceasefire with the terrorist organization Hezbollah.
