Russian Tu-22M3 destruction

Today, during a Russian massive attack, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed a Russian Tu-22M3 bomber, 15 of 22 missiles, and 14 Shahed drones.

Thus, for the first time, anti-aircraft missile units of the Ukrainian Air Force, together with the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, destroyed a Russian Tu-22M3 long-range strategic bomber, which is a carrier of Kh-22 cruise missiles. It was also the first time that Ukraine destroyed two such missiles.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry also confirmed the downing of the missile carrier. However, they say that the preliminary cause of the accident was allegedly a technical malfunction. They also added that there were four crew members on board. Two of them ejected and were hospitalized, the third died, and the fourth is still being searched for.

TU-22M3 bomber is often used by Russian air forces to attack peaceful cities in Ukraine. This aircraft carries the destructive Kh-22 missile, which is anti-ship, but the Russian troops use it against ground targets, causing significant damage.
