Overnight on Sunday, Ukrainian drones struck the facilities of two major producers of fuel for the Russian army - the Volgograd oil refinery (Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka) and the Astrakhan gas processing plant, an informed source told hromadske.
These objects were attacked by drones of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine.
As noted, at the Volgograd plant, drones hit flare facilities, primary processing units No. 2 and No. 3, as well as technological units No. 20 and No. 21.
The gas condensate processing complex at the Astrakhan GPP has been damaged. A fire is ongoing there, the plant's operations have been stopped, and workers have been evacuated.
"This is the fifth successful special operation of the SBU since the beginning of the year to destroy refineries and other Russian enterprises that work in the military-industrial complex and produce fuel for the Russian army," hromadske’s source said.
