Nataliia Humeniuk, head of the press centre of the Operational Command Pivden (South), has said that the Armed Forces destroyed six Russian combat boats yesterday that tried to regain their lost positions from the water while manoeuvring among the islands along the occupied left bank of Kherson Oblast. Informs Ukrainska Pravda.

Quote: "At this stage, we can say that the enemy continues to be active there. It is looking for ways to provide a denser defence. Including from the direction of the Dnipro River itself, from the water. But minus six boats is a very eloquent, convincing summary that we can now say for the past 24 hours.

This is how they [Russian troops – ed.] ended their attempt to gain a foothold in the positions they had previously been driven out of.

We also continue to kill personnel. And destroy other equipment, such as machine guns and mortars."

Details: Humeniuk said that Russian forces have also become more active in the air and continue to attack the right bank of Kherson Oblast with guided aerial bombs. UAVs are also being sent to the area where Sea Breeze exercises are taking place.

Humeniuk emphasised that Russian forces on the left bank prevailed and were "very powerful".

At the same time, the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not mention the destroyed Russian boats. The official reports of the Russian Ministry of Defence also did not mention the destroyed boats.
