UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy arrived in Ukraine on February 5. He will announce new aid for Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Valerii Zaluzhnyi, and the UK government. RBC-Ukraine informs.
"I welcome the United Kingdom Foreign Secretary David Lammy to Ukrainian soil. We will talk about further cooperation and joint projects to strengthen Ukraine's security," Zaluzhny wrote.

This is Lammy's second visit to Ukraine after he was appointed UK Foreign Secretary in July 2024. During his visit, he will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other government officials.
According to the British government, David Lammy will announce the allocation of another 55 million pounds sterling (about $ 68.7 million) in financial support.
"Our support for Ukraine remains unbreakable. We are determined to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position, both in its fight against Russia and beyond," Lammy said.
As part of the new aid, the UK will provide £3 million to continue supplying Ukrainian grain and other food products to Syria. Another £17 million will go to innovative energy projects, £10 million to help restore Ukrainian businesses, and £25 million to support family and community services.
The UK Foreign Office added that the country has already allocated £977 million to support Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.
