President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has responded to the nightly massive attack by the russian occupiers, stating that the aggressor country has once again demonstrated its unwillingness to "end war and terror" and "stupid destructive behavior." "Fires are still being extinguished and debris is being cleared after another Russian strike. This was one of the most large-scale air strikes, a demonstratively significant and cynical strike. A total of 550 targets hit, at least 330 of them were Russian-Iranian Shaheds, missiles were also used, including ballistic missiles," he wrote on his Telegram channel. Ukrainian News informs.

Zelenskyy stressed that the first air alerts began almost simultaneously with the start of media discussion of President Trump's telephone conversation with putin.

"Russia once again demonstrates that it is not going to end the war and terror. Only at about 9 a.m. this morning was the air raid alert lifted in Kyiv. A harsh, sleepless night. The capital was the main target of this Russian strike," the President added.

He said that Ukrainian defenders were able to shoot down 270 air targets, another 208 drones were suppressed by electronic warfare. Also, according to him, interceptor drones began to work - dozens of hits were recorded.

"We are doing everything to develop this direction of protecting our cities. And it is very important that the support of partners in protecting against ballistic missiles is maintained. Patriots and missiles are real defenders of life for them," Zelenskyy stressed.

He also added that, in addition to Kyiv, the Dnipro, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Kyiv Regions also suffered from the russian strike. As of now, 23 people are known to have been injured and are receiving assistance. Many places where drone and missile debris fell have been recorded, and there are direct hits from russian airstrikes.

"And all this is clear evidence that without truly large-scale pressure, Russia will not change its stupid destructive behavior. It is necessary that for every such blow to people and lives, they feel corresponding sanctions and other blows to their economy, to their earnings, to their infrastructure. This is the only thing that can be achieved quickly to change the situation for the better. And this depends on partners, primarily the United States," Zelenskyy stated.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Friday, July 4, russian troops carried out a massive airstrike on Ukraine, launching 550 weapons of mass destruction. The main direction of the strike was Kyiv.

As of 08:00 a.m., 478 neutralized air targets were recorded: 270 were shot down by fire, 208 were lost in location.
